Clyde Butcher
Clyde Butcher has been called the Ansel Adams of the Everglades and his large format black-and-white images of the Florida landscape are indeed evocative of Adams's work. He is an artist immersed in his subject - literally - having spent untold hours in hip boots amid the cypress knees, sawgrass and mangrove roots of the Florida wetlands. Said one writer: "Each of his photos is a wilderness trip."
