The Rincon Group has three main categories of meetings/programs:

  • Issues Programs
  • Conservation Committee Meetings
  • Executive Committee Meetings

Issues Programs are on the second Thursday of every month, except July and August, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Open to the public. Our Issues Programs are in the Ward Three Tucson City Council Office, 1510 E. Grant Road, Tucson. Catch up on the status of local issues, discuss environmental topics, and meet friendly folks. There is free, on-site parking for these free events.

Conservation Committee Meetings are on the fourth Thursday of each month at 6 p.m. [No Conservation Committee Meetings are scheduled for the month of July. The November and December meetings are combined and occur the evening of the first Thursday in December.] Everyone who is interested in current conservation issues and in becoming a Sierra Club activist should attend Conservation Committee Meetings. It's a great place to network with other activists, learn about local environmental issues and to work together to further our cause. Conservation Committee Meetings are in the main floor conference room of the Historic Y, 738 N. 5th Ave., at University Boulevard. Meetings this quarter are Thursday, January  23, Thursday, February 27, and Thursday, March 26.

Executive Committee Meetings are open to the public, but only Rincon Group Executive Committee members can make and vote on motions, and the Chair controls debate. The Executive Committee meets on the fourth Thursday of each month immediately following the Conservation Committee Meeting in the main floor conference room of the Historic Y at 738 N. 5th Ave., at University Boulevard. [No Executive Committee Meetings are scheduled for the month of July. The November and December meetings are combined and occur the evening of the first Thursday in December.] Meetings this quarter are Thursday, January 23, Thursday, February 27, and Thursday, March 26.
