Whenever a decision is made that affects the California coastline -- whether it's at a meeting of a local city council or the powerful California Coastal Commission -- Sierra Club activists are there to push for the protection of wild places and wildlife. Though many elected and appointed officials are not exactly pro-environment, the Sierra Club still wins significant victories.
