Job Title: Associate Regional Representative, National Coal Campaign
Department: Conservation/Midwest
Reports To: Senior Regional Representative
Context:
Carries out the strategies and activities for the National Coal Campaign in the assigned region/ecoregion. Participates in the development of strategies and priorities.
Scope: The Associate Regional Representative coordinates a broad, volunteer based citizen education and mobilization effort on conservation issues and electoral campaigns throughout the region. Requires extensive travel.
Knowledge & Skills:
- B.A./B.S. degree in Environmental Studies, Political Science or a closely related field.
- 1-2 years’ experience in the environmental field that includes research and organizing campaigns, press relations and public speaking.
- Valid driver’s license, satisfactory driving record, and proof of auto insurance required.
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Prior experience and ability writing training and information materials.
- Prior experience and knowledge of the legislative process.
- Demonstrated ability and effectiveness working with volunteers.
