  • How Clean is the Air You Breathe?
The Clean Air Act and Amendments of 1990 define a "nonattainment area" as a place where air pollution levels have consistently exceeded National Ambient Air Quality Standards. The EPA designates areas as being in nonattainment after air quality standards have been exceeded for several consecutive years. Find out if your county is making a failing grade for air pollution by clicking here.
