Beyond Coal Kentucky

Coal is risky business for our future.  In Kentucky, less than 3% of our GDP and less than 1% of our jobs come from the coal industry. From the coal mine to the power plant to the coal ash dump - big coal is making us sick.  Today there are cleaner solutions. Kentucky has an opportunity to jumpstart a clean energy market and leverage new jobs today.  Through investments in energy efficiency and renewables we can begin to diversify our energy base, create healthy communities and create jobs right here in the Commonwealth.
