Stop Smith Campaign - Victory
Stop Smith was a grassroots campaign to persuade East Kentucky Power Cooperative (EKPC) to invest in energy efficiency and renewable energy and cancel plans to build two proposed coal-burning power plants.
On November 18th, 2010 at a coalition of ratepayers and advocacy groups reached an accord with EKPC to abondon the proposed coal plants and explore cleaner options.
