The mission of the Canyons of the Colorado River Committee (CCRC) is to work for change in the management of the Colorado River so as to restore damaged natural environments and sustain human communities at risk because of flawed planning, global warming, and increasing water use.
Campaign Goals
Maintain and restore native species and habitats, especially in Grand and Glen Canyons.
Protect the Grand Canyon ecosystem and newly emerged lands within
Glen Canyon from development and damage.
Keep water in the Colorado River all the way to the Sea of Cortez.
Today little water reaches the Delta.
Build awareness of and support for addressing the causes and effects
of global warming in the Southwest.
Provide a more sustainable supply of water to Southwest communities.
Reduce dependency on surface reservoir storage.
Unite Basin chapters by a commonly supported campaign
Provide Club members with opportunities to support the campaign
