Energy issues impact our lives every day -- from paying the heating bill to
filling our cars with gas. If you think you pay too much money for energy,
if you're concerned about global warming and you want to be part of a new
environmental community in Central Ohio, then the Sierra Club is the place
for you!
Join hundreds of members in Central Ohio as we try to Build Environmental
Communities city by city, neighbor by neighbor!
We celebrated a major
victory recently when Mayor Michael Coleman of
Columbus signed the Climate Protection Agreement pledging to continue the
city's commitment to environmental stewardship.
Now, it's your turn to convince
your city to become a Cool City (learn more< here) or to make your own home
more efficient!
Whether it's hosting a house party to create more environmental awareness,
working on special projects like our Energy Film Festival or Earth Day
programs, or attending the latest social event, the Sierra Club's Building
Environmental Community program will help you get involved and turn Central
Ohio green!
For more information about ways to get involved or to sign up to join one
of
our committees, contact Sarah Topy at sarah.topy@sierraclub.org.
