Warming Today
USA Today has the launched a four-day-long series called "Making Sense of Global Warming," featuring various multimedia components including interactive maps, quizzes and video snippets, like these from Alaska, which the paper calls the "poster state" of climate concerns.

far too much space in the USA Today stories is given to contrarians like robert balling of the competitive enterprise institute (and thus exxon mobil).

Balling's not even a climatologist. he's a geographer. yet he's given as a scientist of the 'other' view. it's the usual journalistic pitfall: straining for some false balance where there is none.
