In October, the Weather Channel will launch a new weekly series called "
The Climate Code," hosted by climatologist
Heidi Cullen, formerly a scientist with the National Center for Atmospheric Research. Dr. Cullen says she wants to bring climate concerns to a more personal level. Speaking to the National Association of Black Journalists, Cullen said: "The climate is connected to energy, which is connected to population, which is connected to the economy. So I want each show to start with the science and then eventually
lead you to your back yard."

Very cool. I hope we can publicize this widely and get folks to tune in and learn something.
I was worried we were going to have to resort to sponsoring an environmental reality tv show and have tribes fighting over space on a drowning island.
