Big Box Efficiencies
Just a couple items I stumbled upon recently over at Treehugger (both from contributor Justin Thomas):
- Home Depot sells BP solar panels to the masses. Free consultations too.
- Wal Mart introduces low-energy laptop from Everex Systems. Price tag: Sub-$500 and, features-wise, not at all shabby for the price.

Gee the Medium sized solar install will pay for itself in only 50 years.
Despite the reduction in pollutants by getting solar installed until my State (Louisiana) offers incentives like Cali, I must take a pass.
Fair enough. What about just installing a solar water heater? The payback would be more like 5-10 years.
