Senator Inhofe tells Fox News that, "God's still up there." Which apparently is reason enough not to worry about climate change. Presumably, he's referring to the same Old Testament God who saw fit to flood the earth until "the mountains were covered, and all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man." I guess he's right. I guess we don't need to worry.

Perhaps Senator Inhofe, wants us to just lie back and enjoy the inevitable. I believe it was Peter who said "By water also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men."
Personally, I'm hoping that when Boxer takes over for Inhofe on the Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works she'll be able to help put the kibosh on our trial by fire -- or warming.
I'm terribly hopeful that the R power play that's going on right now sends Inhofe to the back-bench, and installs Sen. Warner (VA) as the ranking member on EPW. This would be a huge step in the climate-crisis averting direction.
W/Inhofe as ranking member he'll just be challenging Boxer on everything. With Warner, a more sensible, less-nutjob, moderate, they can probably find some common ground and advance some postitive steps.
