I've been remiss in not highlighting this report from New Orleans that ran last week on National Geographic News. It was headlined: "New Orleans' Rebuilt Levees 'Riddled With Flaws.'"
Keep in mind that forecasters are predicting above average storm activity this hurricane season.

I often wonder if it is wise to rebuild New Orleans in its current spot... wouldn't it be more beneficial to rebuild it a little bit further inland and try to restore the swamp/ grasslands on the coast..
