The Washington Post has been running a
4-part series called "The Angler" that examines the life and work of Vice President Cheney, "the most influential and powerful man ever to hold the office." It culminates with today's article on
Cheney's role in environmental policy within the Bush administration -- everything from his secret Energy Task Force to his stealth role in reversing management decisions in the Klamath River watershed -- a reversal that ultimately lead to the die-off of some 77,000 fish and the declaration of a "commercial fishery failure" on the West Coast. Strong work, Dick.

It's not hard to see how that would
happen,since most people think of
the intensity of rapids on rivers
and even plan their holidays around
them.Sports don't always make you
more sensitive to nature because they don't involve direct killing
of wildlife. Some sports are easy
for people to do in nature without
even noticing the wildlife issues
involved...their priorities.
there's a hot little corner of hell just waiting for this man's arrival.
If there's a god (or a devil for that matter), then Rove, Abramoff and Griles will all be roasting there with him (plus some others I'm probably forgetting).
