  • No Time To Waste: Tell Gov Hochul to Sign the Birds and Bees Protection Act Today!

We won a huge victory last month when the New York State Senate and Assembly passed the Birds and Bees Protection Act, an historic, nation-leading bill that will end the unnecessary use of a class of toxic pesticides known as neonicotinoids (neonics). Neonics have caused an alarming crash in pollinator populations nationwide and the EPA has recently reported that the continued use of these toxic pesticides will likely drive hundreds of endangered species toward extinction.
But our fight isn't over yet. Governor Hochul needs to sign the law and the chemical companies that produce these pesticides are now spending millions in a misinformation campaign urging her to veto this groundbreaking legislation.
This is vitally important and the bill has had widespread support from the organic farming community, environmentalists, health professionals, brewers, wineries, and advocates like you. We need your help in pushing back, so that NY’s pollinators, waterways, and communities are protected from these unnecessary toxic pesticides.
Send your message to Governor Hochul, urging her to sign S.1856-A/A.7640: The Birds and Bees Protection Act into law today!

  • Stop Gas in Algonquin Pipelines at Indian Point Nuclear Facility!
Three large-diameter, high-pressure Algonquin gas transmission pipelines crisscross Indian Point nuclear facility in Buchanan, NY near critical safety infrastructure and two earthquake faults. Recent closure of the nuclear reactors does not resolve catastrophic risks posed by these pipelines in close proximity to highly radioactive nuclear waste in packed spent fuel pools and in dry cask storage. Decommissioning operations involving heavy excavation, demolition and deconstruction intensify these dangerous conditions and could compromise pipeline integrity. Nuclear, pipeline and medical disaster experts have repeatedly warned that a pipeline rupture at this site could result in a radioactive disaster. Such a disaster would impact millions of people across the New York tri-state area and Eastern Seaboard.
