Driving Directions:
We are on Albermarle St NW, just east of its intersection with Wisconsin Ave in Washington DC.

From the Capital Beltway in Maryland:

Take Exit 34 for Route 355, take 355/Wisconsin Ave heading South towards DC.
Pass Friendship Heights Metro Station and intersection with Western Ave as you enter the District of Columbia.
Turn left on Albemarle St NW (Best Buy and Container Store on right)
4000 Albermarle is immediately on the right - watch for big awning over sidewalk.

From Fairfax County:

Take the Capital Beltway (I-495) to Exit 39 - River Road
Follow River Road for about 5 miles into DC.
Turn right onto 42 St NW.
Take immediate left onto Albemarle St NW.
At first light, cross Wisconsin Ave NW and watch for 4000 Albemarle St NW immediately on the right.

From Arlington and Alexandria

Take I-395 North and cross over the 14th St Bridge.
Continue on 14TH ST - go 0.7 mi 7.
Turn left on K ST NW - go 0.4 mi
Turn right on CONNECTICUT AVE NW - go 3.4 mi
Turn left on ALBEMARLE ST NW - go 0.7 mi
4000 Albemarle St is on the left across from the Metro Station - watch for big awning over sidewalk.

From downtown Washington, DC:

From downtown, head northwest on Massachusetts Ave NW.
Turn right to head north on Connecticut Ave NW - go 3.4 mi

Walk approx. 3 blocks N on 1st St SE.
Walk straight on 1st St NE.

Location is on Route 1 just South of the University of Maryland Campus in the upper part of the College Park Shopping Center in the offices above the "WAWA".

BY METRO

1. Take Green Line to College Park Metro Station
2. From The College Park Metro Station:

Walking (10 minutes): Exit West side (the community side - not the huge parking lot side). Walk 1 block up Calvert Road, take 1st right on Dartmouth, then 1st left on Knox Road. Go 6 (short) blocks. Cross Route 1 to the Shopping Center. Take stairwell to left of "WAWA" and Vertigo Books up to 2nd level.
Bus: Exit east side facing Paint Branch Parkway. Take #83 bus marked "Rhode Island" for 6 minute bus ride to Baltimore Avenue (Route 1) & Hartwick road. Buses run every 30 minutes at 25 and 55 after the hour till 9:25 pm. There are also UMCP shuttle buses running every 15 min up to the Campus that are free.

Driving: (click here for map)
* Take the 495 Beltway to the College Park Route 1 exit.
* Go South on Route 1. Pass the campus on your right.
* After Southern most entrance (College Avenue) make right at next light (Knox Rd) into the College Park shopping center where there is a CVS, bike shops, 7 eleven, WAWA, Vertigo, etc.
* Park behind or at the shopping center. Sierra Club office is in offices above the shops on same level as back parking lot.
* Bring quarters. There is a bit of free parking on Knox Rd.
