Live Earth is a 24-hour, 7-continent series of 9 concerts taking place on July 7, 2007 (7/7/07) that will bring together more than 100 music artists and 2 billion people to trigger a global movement to solve the climate crisis. The concert in North America will be held at the Giants Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, but you can participate locally: Hold a house party and watch the concert on television or online! The 24-hour series of concerts will be streamed live by MSN at LiveEarth.MSN.com. You can also watch the New Jersey concert on most NBC stations from 9 to 11pm, EST.

Hosting a house party is fun, easy -- and important. The Live Earth concerts are not only about great music, but also about a call to action on global warming. Scientists say that to stabilize global warming, we need to curb our carbon emissions 80% by the year 2050--or 2% a year, starting now. The Live Earth event will help spread that message and the need for our leaders to take action.

House Party Guide [pdf]: provides a step by step timeline for hosting your house party. Once your party is over, we’d love to hear and see how it went. The last few pages of this guide will tell you how to submit your feedback as well as photos you may want to share.
Guest sign-in sheet. Please have your guests sign this sheet. After the event, either mail the sheet to us or e-mail the info back to us. Instructions are on the sheet.
Postcards. These are available with text directed to Governor Kaine, or with text on one side only and a blank side where you can customize your message. It's best to have them printed on card stock at a local copy shop (you can choose to print in color or black-and-white). There are four cards per page.
