LeConte Remains Open in 2013
In consideration of rock-fall hazard, the number of evening programs will be reduced.
See 2013 Program Schedule
For the 2013 Season, May 1 - September 30, LeConte Memorial Lodge will be open to all Yosemite National Park visitors, Wednesday through Sunday, from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm.
In order to strive, in every way, to provide a quality experience for the Sierra Club volunteers who assist in staffing LeConte Memorial Lodge, as well as provide an environment for visitors that takes into consideration the rock fall mitigation plan and reaches the compliance requirement of the National Park Service to operate LeConte Memorial Lodge, the modification in operation will focus on a reduction in the number of evening programs within the building to 30 per season. These programs will be presented on Friday and Saturday evenings, beginning the second week in May and running through the third week in September at 8:00 pm. There will be an additional 7 to 10 programs outside LeConte Memorial Lodge. Attendance at evening programs, which are free, will be limited to 50 guests.
Special thanks to the Sierra Club, Yosemite National Park, the LeConte Memorial Lodge volunteers, the friends of LeConte Memorial Lodge, and the LeConte Memorial Lodge Committee for their steadfast support.
