On July 3, 2004, the LeConte Memorial Lodge in Yosemite Valley celebrated its Centennial. Speakers from the National Park Service and the Sierra Club spoke of the Memorial's hundred-year history, and re-dedicated the LeConte Memorial Lodge for the future. The speakers were: LeConte Memorial Lodge Curator Bonnie Gisel; National Park Service planning manager Michael Reynolds; Sierra Club Vice-President Bernie Zaleha; Sierra Club Conservation Director Bruce Hamilton, and Sierra Club LeConte Memorial Lodge Committee Chair Harold Wood.
