The Green Shoes Project was established to encourage visitors to, in each step, walk as if wearing Green Shoes. Each step taken will be a reminder to care for the Natural World and be a Steward of Wilderness. Our message is simple: We hope that each of our 17,000 visitors, who stop by to meet us each season, from May 1 through September 30, will develop a deeper abiding relationship with the Natural World.
