Huell Howser of California Gold visits
LeConte Memorial Lodge
Huell Howser visits LeConte Memorial Lodge where he interviews Sierra Club LeConte
Lodge Curator Bonnie Gisel and
National Park Service spokesman Scott Gediman.
This video is provided courtesy of Huell Howser, from his acclaimed California
Gold television series.
Excerpted from California's
Gold #9007 - "Yosemite Buildings" first aired in August, 2007.
When most people think of Yosemite, they imagine towering peaks and cascading
waterfalls, but there is an amazing human history that is told through some
of the many buildings that dot the valley floor.
In this visit (filmed in July, 2006), Huell Howser discovers
two small buildings that are very historic and very beautiful. He visited the
Yosemite Valley Chapel (not shown here), and the LeConte Memorial Lodge, a
National Historic Landmark. In this video visit to LeConte Memorial Lodge,
Huell interviewed Sierra Club Curator Bonnie Gisel and National Park Service
spokesman Scott Gediman.
Huell exclaims, "This beautiful
stone structure is a real gem!"
