Approximately 150 new coal-fired power stations are on the drawing board across
the
U.S. -- with some already under construction. This new "coal rush" will dramatically
increase U.S. CO2 emissions at a time when, to head off catastrophic damage to
our climate
from global warming, we must work hard to stabilize and
then decrease emissions. Instead of investing billions in the technologies
of yesterday, it's time for us to invest in the smart energy solutions that will
fuel
the economy
of tomorrow.
