Grizzly Bear Fate Unknown in Montana

Grizzly bears require large blocks of unfragmented wilderness to survive. Scientists agree that closing roads is the best thing that can be done to protect grizzly bears and their habitat, yet federal agencies have resisted taking action. To protect core habitat for the grizzly bear, Sierra Club recently intervened in a case to defend restrictions on the number of roads allowed in Montana's Flathead National Forest.
