Stopping mega-dairies in Northern California
Case Updates:
March 25, 2004
In coordination with Club activists in Solano and Yolo County, the Environmental Law Program has stepped up a campaign to fight factory farm pollution from mega-dairies in northern California. Our first milestone came early on in the form of a $90K fine from the Regional Water Board for a large pollution spill. Then, following testimony by Club activists before the Solano County Planning Commission, the Commission adopted a two-year moratorium on new factory farms in the area.
