Incinerator Rules Deemed Lacking in D.C. Court Ruling

In a win for clean air, the U.S. Court of Appeals in Washington, DC recently ruled that Bush administration standards for incinerator emissions are too weak and require serious revisions. The lawsuit, filed by the Sierra Club and other environmental organizations, sought to prevent dangerous toxins, including lead and cadmium, from being released into the air across the nation. The Court ruled that the current standards did not comply with the Clean Air Act.
