Bush Administration Ignored Hazardous Air Quality in Dallas-Fort Worth

Case Updates:

October 14, 2004

Sierra Club pressed forward with a coalition lawsuit against the Bush administration for its failure to protect citizens and enforce the Clean Air Act in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. In the initial filing, the coalition charges that the administration has been focused on extending deadlines for compliance rather than seriously cleaning up the air. Under the Bush administration’s current plan, Dallas-Fort Worth would have up to six years or more to fix the air quality. With this action, the coalition is advocating that local citizens deserve clean air now rather than in the next decade.
