Welcome

Building Environmental Community is a new and exciting campaign model that aims to promote visionary solutions for local environmental problems, build one-on-one relationships in the community and hold decision makers accountable; additionally, we work to build bridges with local and state level decision makers on our issues.

The Northeast region of the Sierra Club is home to more than 125,000 Club members and more than 100 Members of Congress. This nine-state region encompassing Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island is steeped in history and at the forefront of environmental protection.

From the Jersey shore to the Maine Woods the region features majestic natural resources and enormous opportunities for conservation gains. The Northeast Region is home to pro-environment champions, Republican and Democrat alike, and many states have stepped up to adopt more progressive initiatives than those moving in Washington, D.C. Contact one of our field offices for more information.

The Sierra Club in Pennsylvania and our partners are working to empower concerned citizens to take action, hold decision makers accountable, and build support for visionary action at the local, state, and federal levels. click here.
