Padre Island National Seashore off the Texas coast is the world's longest
undeveloped barrier island, a home to several endangered species, and a popular
destination for millions of beach lovers. Unfortunately, BNP Petroleum is
threatening this paradise with an aggressive gas-drilling operation. Sierra
Club is hosting a benefit in Austin to fight the drilling on Padre Island. The
benefit features some of the best singer/songwriters in Texas and abroad.
So come out and join us JUNE 8th for a night of music and community. Together
we can protect Padre Island National Seashore for future generations!

Michael Fracasso is "one of America's songwriting geniuses" with a tenor
voice that's been compared to both Phill and Don Everly, and Gen Pitney,
with maybe a little Roy Orbison thrown in for good measure. He'll kick off this
night of Songs to Save the Seashore with a solo acoustical set.

Carolyn Wonderland does it all. She uses her amazing voice to croon,
scat, wail, and trill. Her songs do it all as well - from blues to rock to
country to soul to surf. She has a kickin' band, and, oh yea, she can play the
holy hell out of that guitar, too!
