Atlanta EPA Climate Rally - July, 2015

The Georgia Sierra Club works on implementing smart energy solutions, securing green transportation options, and protecting wildlands and wildlife. Getting involved in an Issue Committee is a great way to take action on issues you care about.

The Georgia Chapter Executive Committee has chosen these priorities:
1) Clean Energy: Stabilize our climate by stopping new coal plants and retire existing coal and scale up clean energy: solar, wind and energy efficiency
2) Green Transportation: Advocate for state spending on commuter rail, transit options (bus, streetcars, etc), bike and pedestrian infrastructure.
3)  Forest Protection: Protect Georgia’s beautiful landscape by holding the Forest Service accountable to public interest. This is also one of the 4 initiatives from Sierra Club National’s Our Wild America Campaign.
