Sierra Club 101

You joined the Sierra Club to help protect the environment—now what?

Sierra Club 101

Have you always wanted to get more involved with the Sierra Club but not sure how? Do you have a desire to learn more about Sierra Club outings, conservation issues or other volunteer opportunities? Do you just want to learn more about the environment and meet other like-minded people? If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, Sierra Club 101 is the right place for you!

Throughout the year, the Georgia Chapter hosts Sierra Club 101s as a crash course for interested individuals. The 101 features a presentation about the Sierra Club, our conservation work, outings and opportunities to get involved. We even provide a quick activist training exercise to give an idea of the types of activities our volunteers and supporters engage in to help us move forward on issues we care about.

We strongly encourage new members to attend. However, if you are a long-time member or just an interested individual please feel free to join us—and bring a friend! You will be able to meet with volunteer leaders and staff who can answer any questions you might have. Refreshments are provided!
