Great Lakes Program

The Great Lakes hold one fifth of the world's fresh surface water supply and currently provide drinking water to over 42 million people. The health of these lakes is critical.

We have Solutions to STOP Asian Carp

A recent study identifies ways in which the Great Lakes watershed can be separated from the Mississippi River watershed to stop Asian Carp and other invasive species from moving back and forth. The study was prepared by the Great Lakes Commission and the Great Lakes & St. Lawrence Cities Initiative. Now we need the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to use this study and act quickly to implement permanent separation.
