The Western Ghats of India Mining Tailings from the Kudremukh Iron Ore Company mines have polluted the Bhadra River, choking the riverbed and degrading the water quality. These highly controversial mines, in the heart of Kudremukh National Park, remain one of the biggest mining disasters in the Western Ghats.
