"John Muir worked to preserve peaceful places. Much needed in our desire for peace on the planet are natural places that bring peace to the soul, and to allow the peace process to blossom in humanity. He is very dear to my heart."

It is part of the sculptor's Sculpture of the Humanitarians: In the Service of Love Series.
