Donnell Rubay's school program discusses the life and work of the renowned environmentalist John Muir, as well as explaining the writing, developing and publishing of a picture book.
Ms. Rubay's presentation includes a comparison of the artist's initial sketches to the book's final paintings. Also, depending on the audience, her program may include posters, maps and overhead transparencies.
The program works best with groups of around 100 students. Ms. Rubay can speak to three or four such groups in a day.
Ms. Rubay is also available for parent nights or literary evening events.
