This bill would preserve 55,000 acres in the Jefferson National Forest in Craig, Grayson, Giles, Lee, Montgomery and Smyth counties as bothe Wilderness and scenic areas.

Status

This bill was introduced in April 2005. On May 19, 2005 the House Agriculture Committee referred it to the Subcommittee on Department Operations, Oversight, Nutrition and Forestry.
