Sen. Alexander and Sen. Johnson introduced the Natural Gas Price Reduction Act of 2005 (NGPRA.) which increases efficiency at natural gas plants, increases production and importation of natural gas. However, the bill would open national treasures like the Outer Continental Shelf, the Rocky Mountain Front, and Alaska to destructive natural gas production. It would also build more liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminals.
