Raise Your Voice: Attend a Community Meeting Saturday Oct. 18
Meeting will be held at the Beaverton Library, Basement Auditorium from 12PM-2PM, refreshments provided
On Saturday, October 18th, PLEASE JOIN THE SIERRA CLUB for a community meeting in Washington County for residents to learn about issues that will shape the future of the 50,000 acres of state lands in the county, and to ask questions and provide feedback to public officials and experts on what the future and priorities should be for these lands.
The meeting will include a presentation and slideshow from a panel of experts on the past, present, and future of state lands in the county, testimonials from varied user groups including hunters and anglers, hikers, mountain bikers, and families who use these areas, along with a proposal for specific solutions to effectively manage and protect these lands for future growth and development in Washington County.
Get The Word Out: Volunteer Saturday Oct. 11
Meet at Beaverton Library 12 pm, Rm A
To spread the word about this meeting, volunteers will gather a week before on Saturday October 11th for a Community Walk in Washington County to invite local residents to attend this important community event. We'll walk and talk, gathering postcards to protect the Tillamook from neighbors along the way and passing out bumper stickers to raise awareness about Oregon's Threatened Rainforest.
