Welcome to the Buxton Climate Action Team
Our goal is to Initiate zero-sort recycling throughout the town of Buxton to increase participation in recycling. “Recycling can be SUPER EASY and it’s COST EFFECTIVE! For the same tax money we are already spending to run our transfer station, we could have zero-sort recycling. No need to separate glass, plastics, tin cans, aluminum cans, paper, cardboard, and boxboard, just put all the recycling together in the same bin and drop it at the transfer station for free. Because recycling saves the town disposal fees, if folks recycle everything instead throwing recyclable materials in the trash, we could actually spend significantly LESS tax money for waste management than we do now, AND reduce our carbon footprint!”
