Mercury is a serious toxin that affects the health of our families and communities. One in six women of childbearing age has enough mercury in her body to put her baby at risk of developmental problems. Although women and young children are the most at risk, studies have shown that high levels of mercury in men can make them more susceptible to cardiac disease. Mercury is a problem that affects everyone. But the good news is that there is a lot we can do to protect our families and clean up mercury pollution.
