After nearly five years as Membership Committee Chair, Rebecca Selove will resign effective at the end of December 2001. The EMG is seeking a special volunteer to step into the role.

"This is a wonderful opportunity for someone who would enjoy helping orient and welcome new members, or help people find a niche among the many activities that the EMG offers," said Selove. She emphasized that the Membership Chair gets great support from the national Sierra Club, and she is also willing to help with the transition process.

Selove is well known for warmly greeting attendees at each General Meeting, drawing large crowds to bi-annual New Members Parties, and helping match potential volunteers with activities of interest. Her enthusiasm for the Sierra Club and volunteerism in general has been a tremendous benefit to the EMG.
