Smart energy solutions abound, from green vehicle fleets to energy-efficiency technologies to clean, renewable energies like wind and solar. Putting those solutions to work in our own communities to curb heat-trapping global warming pollution is the key to the Sierra Club's popular Cool Cities campaign. Nationwide, there are now 326 Cool Cities in 46 states, representing more than 53 million Americans. In and around St. Louis, our seven Cool Cities are in various stages of progress, and local activists are forging ahead with plans.
