SierraScape June - July 2007
Back to Table of Contents

For Whom? Those interested in gardening with natives, birds, butterflies, landscaping, rain gardens, ecology, and community beautification with low-maintenance.

What Is It? The Grow Wild Garden Tour!
Sponsored by Shaw Nature Reserve, the Wild Ones and the Green Center

When? Sunday, June 24
Choose from a 9 am to 12 pm shift or a 12 pm to 3 pm shift

Where? At one of seven home sites.
There are 4 in Kirkwood, 1 in Lakeshire, 1 in Olivette, 1 in Webster Groves. We'll also need people at the Green Center in U. City.

How Many People Do We Need? A minimum of 4 at each site: 2 per shift.

What are the duties? Aide the homeowner in welcoming guests and attend to safety. Although knowledge of native species and ecology are a plus, a warm, hospitable manner toward our hosts and guests is our utmost concern.

Why volunteer? A chance to expand your gardening concepts and learn from experts in Grow Wild Gardening. You get a free ticket to the tour! Plus, you have a unique opportunity to meet people from a variety of backgrounds who share a similar interest.

How to volunteer? Call Leslie Lihou, Tour Co-Coordinator, at 314-726-2140 or Jan Oberkramer at 314-725-8314 x102.
