Leave No Trace Center for Outdoor Ethics, a non-profit organization dedicated to building awareness, appreciation, and above all, respect for public recreation areas, is coming to Hawn State Park on April 11th to promote responsible recreation and environmental stewardship.

Come join the Traveling Trainers, Team East, JD Tanner and Emily Ressler, for a fun and educational experience. This workshop will include slideshows, games and information on how to become a Leave No Trace steward.

The Leave No Trace message helps public land visitors understand and practice minimum impact skills and ethics.

Information from the Leave No Trace program, coupled with a visitor's attitude, and ethical commitment to land stewardship, makes the Leave No Trace program useful for all recreationists, regardless of whether they are on a day trip or a month-long expedition.

Program Synopsis:

Objectives:

  1. Participants will gain a better understanding of the depth of the Leave No Trace program.
