Opportunities for Fall Trail Maintenance

September 25-26, 2013. Hawn State Park. Join us as we remove more old fence from the Back Country of Hawn S.P. Last year we removed over 2 miles of fence. So join us to help match that amount again this year. We will be working in a remote part of the Park so you will see a different part of Hawn S.P. There will be a lot of walking so be prepared with good work shoes and good work gloves. Join us for 1 or 2 days . Paul Stupperich (314) 429-4352, lonebuffalo@earthlink.net or Bob Gestel, (636) 296-8975, rgestel@sbcglobal.net

October 19-27, 2013. The Missouri Sierra Club is organizing a week of trail work on the Ozark Trail. We will be maintaining the Blair Creek Section of the Ozark Trail. We will stay at the Current River State Park at the lodge. If you would prefer there are many tent sites along the Current River. Each morning we will leave in carpools to travel to the Blair Creek Section of the trail. Bring work gloves, rain gear, sturdy footwear and a sleeping bag. There is no bedding at the lodge. All meals will be furnished including lunches. You will have to make your own lunches each morning. There is no cost to be part of the excursion. Great people, great food, great work, a beautiful forest in the fall - you should be there! Contact Bob Gestel at rgestel@sbcglobal.net or (636) 296-8975 for more info.
