We hope this note finds everyone well. St. Louis Inspiring Connections Outdoors (ICO) is entering our 23rd year of bringing St. Louis area youth outdoors! In 2014, we partnered with three St. Louis community organizations in North and South City to get kids outdoors – exploring and connecting with their natural world. Our adventures ranged from a clean-up service trip on the Riverfront Trail to hiking at Powder Valley Nature Center amid Autumn colors and bird watching near the confluence at the Riverlands Bird Sanctuary.

In 2015, we look to partner with an additional agency to offer more kids the chance to go on safe and fun trips into the outdoors. Also, we hope to expand our community engagement activities and to host more community service projects with participants from our partner agencies.

As you know we are 100% volunteer run and we raise all funds for St. Louis ICO, which go directly to our trips, gear, and trainings. Examples of what your gift can realize:

• $25: Rental fees for one canoe for a day.
• $50: Transportation costs to a local outings destination for all kids and volunteers.
• $100: A healthy, hearty lunch for 20 participants during a weekend outing.
• $500: Updated gear including a 4 person tent and 4 sleeping pads

Your support truly makes a difference for the children we work with, and helps ensure that we can continue our mission of taking St. Louis area kids outdoors. We greatly appreciate your interest and support and look forward to sharing our successes with you in 2015.
