What are Chapters, Groups, and Field Offices?

Your chapter gives you the opportunity to get involved locally. The Sierra Club has chapters across the U.S. and Canada. Chapters offer opportunities for hikes and other outings, activism on local and state issues, and much more.

Most Sierra Club chapters are made up of smaller regional groups. Through your Sierra Club group, you can get involved in issues that directly effect your local area.

The Sierra Club has several field offices, which concentrate their activity on specific regions in the U.S. and Canada. Your field office is a good way to get involved in regional environmental issues.
