Training Event Key:

  • OCT - Outings Chair Training: This is a program manager training for new or current Sierra Club Outings Chairs.
  • OLT - Outings Leader Training Workshop: This two-day leadership training is for all Sierra Club leaders and fulfills the Sierra Club's OLT 101 and OLT 201 requirements).
  • NOTT- National Outings Training Trip: This six-month long training involves 5 months of computer-based homework and an eight-day trip in the Sierra Nevada.
  • WFA - Wilderness First Aid: This is a 16-hour first aid course that most National/International Outings Leaders take.
  • WFR - Wilderness First Responder: This is a 72-hour first aid course that prepares leaders for more remote multi day outings.
