A Breath of Fresh Air
The EPA has proposed tougher emissions standards for off-road diesel-powered construction, agricultural, and industrial vehicles. The stricter rules, which the EPA hopes to finalize next year following a public comment period, would take effect for new engines starting as early as 2008 and be fully phased in by 2014. Off-road diesel engines are second only to power plants in emissions associated with lung cancer, asthma, and other health problems.

Just drop off the used device in one of the collection tubes located in every Staples store. Recycling mobile electronics prevents hazardous elements like mercury, cadmium, and lead from contaminating the earth through incineration and landfill disposal.
