On June 8th, the House of Representatives passed its FY 2007 Foreign Operations Appropriations bill, setting aside $432 million for international family planning assistance. Although a decrease from last year's approved $436 million, this is a significant improvement to the President's initial proposed funding level of $357 million. The fact that members of the House rejected the President's request is a huge success! Find out if your Representative voted in favor of the bill and thank him or her for supporting a funding level of $432 million for international family planning, for promoting a better quality of life for women and families around the world, and for taking steps to ensure a more sustainable environmental future.
